Customer Service Manager 

Requirements:

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, oversees the supervision of all areas of the customer service department. Manages a team customer service representatives who are responsible for order entry, customer communication,  order job tracking,  inbound and outbound proofing and project management and overall customer satisfaction.  Person must work closely with sales, prepress art department, operations and ownership.  Person will have some account ownership as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises all customer service personnel, including establishing and managing effective performance and training/development objectives.
  • Monitors ongoing daily job schedules and overall customer commitments.
  • Provides technical support and back-up to customer service people on a daily basis.
  • Ensures that company job goals and  department goals are met.
  • Sits in on all order project meetings and any major customer projects.
  • Initiates and monitors continuous improvement efforts to ensure outstanding service to all customers, internal and external.
  • Resolves employee-related issues.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce costs.  Major efforts would include streamlining order entry and shortening time it takes to enter and track orders.  Helps develop tools to provide a better overall picture of where current jobs are in the process.
  • Would have some account responsibility and handle some accounts day to day as well.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • 3-5 years experience in the Printing Industry
  • Must have  some managerial experience.
  • Solid computer skills with a proficiency in Excel.
  • Must be well-organized and able to multi-task.
  • Must use initiative and be able to effectively establish priorities.
  • Must be results-oriented with meticulous attention to detail and quality.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable, utilizing a methodical and logical problem-solving approach.
  • Must maintain a positive outlook and exhibit a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to communicate confidently and concisely and establish/maintain a level of credibility with both internal and external customers.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Must be able to create and maintain strong working relationships.

  • Must possess and demonstrate a solid understanding of the value and importance of providing excellent customer service with all customers, both internal and external.
  • Must be a forward-thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Hands-on technical knowledge of printing processes and job flow is preferred.  Must be cultivated and learned once on the job.

HP Operator – Third Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Operate HP Roll-fed Inkjet Digital Web Press
  • Maintains equipment, troubleshoots equipment problems, performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required and identify repairs if needed
  • Makes adjustments as required to return output to maintain required quality
  • Tracks and records all consumables and through put of equipment
  • Keeps color profiles necessary for consistency and calibration
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager
  • Communicates status of jobs to department manager
  • Operate in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure 100% accuracy and quality with all orders
  • Communicate with management any issues not meeting the quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Knowledge:

High School graduate, or completion of GED required. A minimum of two years’ experience with digital printing (operating either Oce, web digital presses, HP Indigo web and sheetfed, IBM, Xerox iGen sheetfed presses, Kodak, Canon and cut-sheet digital presses) necessary. Previous experience in setting up and running HP Indigo equipment and files and HP Indigo certification is a plus. This position requires and individual who is technically and mechanically oriented with strong computer skills.

Production Scheduler

Requirements:

Production Schedulers use their knowledge of the production process and reports to create daily and weekly production schedules. They must also be able to comprehend reports and make recommendations about where improvements might be made.

By effectively scheduling employees and equipment, Production Schedulers help ensure that company objectives are achieved and that all deadlines are met. They must be able to multitask and provide quick responses to production problems. As issues may be unforeseen, Production Schedulers must know how to shift resources and ensure that employees, equipment and materials are used most effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains schedules.
  • Uses workers and resources in the most effective manner.
  • Works with Customer Service to expedite RUSH orders when needed
  • Coordinates with purchasing department to assure materials are available when needed to meet delivery commitments
  • Provides quick responses to production issues.
  • Identifies problems and helps improve processes.
  • Uses Label Traxx to generate reports and schedules.
  • Ensures that company deadlines are met.
  • Communicates schedule changes to Customer service

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in management or at least 5 years of industry experience
  • Experience in production.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions.
  • A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff.
